Eruption of Your Child’s TeethHere at Snohomish Family Dentistry, we are proud to help your child’s erupted teeth.

Your child will get their first tooth generally between the ages of 6 months and 1 year. Typically, the first teeth to emerge are the very front teeth on the lower and upper jaws.

Teeth generally erupt in groups. This means that your child may have 2-4 emerge in the same month. By the age of 3, many children already have all of their primary teeth.

We encourage you to make an appointment with your dentist to ensure that everything is healthy with your child’s first teeth. This will also introduce your child to the dentist so that he or she will feel comfortable going to the dentist throughout childhood and adulthood.

We enjoy communicating with parents to ensure that their child’s oral health is well taken care of. Taking proper care of your child’s primary teeth will help defend against painful tooth decay in the future. It will also help prevent premature tooth loss, malnutrition, and childhood periodontal disease.
